Ken + Gen | A Snowy Winter Wedding

December 20, 2018

Ken & Gennese had a beautiful snowy winter wedding filled with great joy, amazing moments, and friends and family.  There were so many personal touches like a locket given to signify family, a Bible given by a special grandfather, earrings originally gifted. A new family has bonded with this wedding day.  It was so special to photograph.  Here is what Gen says about the details they chose:

“We really just wanted a simple, yet elegant wedding. Our colors are burgundy and champagne (with gold accents). I wanted to keep all of the table decorations simple, so it wouldn’t distract from the flowers. We had a traditional Catholic ceremony. My grandpa will be the lector, my uncle is reading the prayers of the faithful, and my godparents are carrying up offertory.  My aunt and godmother made the backdrop. The sign in the middle that says “Together they built a life they loved”.  My mom had made because she knows how much I love that saying. I had fresh flowers at all of the tables. My mom also spent a ton of time picking out tablecloths and designing the guest book table.  The earrings I’m wearing were a Christmas gift from Ken the first year we were dating and the bracelet I am borrowing from my mom (it’s my something borrowed and something blue). And my dress…it was the first dress I tried on and I knew even when it was on the hanger that it was the dress I would buy.”

We went outside for about five minutes because the wind was crazy…but oh how beautiful the snow was!  Most couples only hope for a snowy winter wedding.
