Andrea and Chris LOVE the little moments in photography. That is a good thing, for a number of reasons. Firstly, I summarize this Leawood family Photography session with one word: run! They tested my photographic skills over and over with the kiddos running at full speed in all directions, all night. Secondly, this family has the best personalities and were not afraid to be themselves (that even means a pout here and there). Lastly, this shows the chaos, love, and silliness that goes into raising a young family. Chris and Andrea are fun parents, and it shows.
Andrea is a Kansas City photographer that I have looked up to for over a decade now. She recently photographed my family (and headshots), and I got to return the favor. It is an honor, to say the least. Here is the photo session she did for my family! Like her, I also love the lifestyle approach to family photography. When I look back at my images over the year, I crave seeing the connections we all shared. Andrea gave that to us for sure.
So, be on the lookout for all my favorite things in this session: nose crinkles, giggles, kiddos “sneak” attacks, running, thumb sucking, pouting, and tender moments. We played ring around the Rosey. Red Light, Green Light was attempted. We tickled mom and dad. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
I always ask the parents what the kids favorite things are, so I can have a few tricks up my sleeve. Even though the kids did not hold still for long enough to use those tricks, I love what mom said. Tennison is almost 7 and loves dinosaurs. Rylin at age 4 adores unicorns. And Whitley (18months)? Food! Heck ya.
