Loose Mansion Wedding & Reception | Kyle & Hilary

August 25, 2017

Congratulations to Kyle and Hilary!  This fabulous couple had a gorgeous Loose Mansion Wedding & Reception.  Personally, there are a handful of truly memorable moments to their wedding day.  The first being the weather.  It was so very hot. We spent a few minutes outdoors to capture some outdoor portraits, but our happy couple was not super comfortable.  They are lovely, so I am glad they endured the heat.  Then, during the reception, the storm kicked in.  Kansas City has had some weather this summer, but oh man this evening takes the cake for a doozie.  We stole the couple away for a few moments on the upstairs rooftop for a few night shots and captured some lighting in the background as the storm rolled in.  That night it rained like mad and many folks lost their power.

Also notable were the beautiful Jewish traditions they chose to hold a place of honor on their special day.  Their ketubah is so beautiful and the signing special to all who were lucky enough to witness.  Like five generations before them, Kyle and Hilary said their vows under the family chuppah.

Lastly, I knew just how sweet Hilary and Kyle are together, but had yet to discover the amazing sister relationship of Hilary and Emily.

First look captured from a Kansas City PhotographerThe stair cases at Loose Mansion are gorgeous, so we made sure to take advantage of them. The last image is of the couple tying their love knots (credit for this brilliant tradition goes to Craig Sole) where both the bride and groom tie a hard knot in the bouquet ribbons symbolizing their love that cannot be undone.   Kansas City Loose Mansion PhotographyI love how the rich blues in the bridal party work so well with the elegance of the dark wood and warm lighting.   Loose Mansion’s catering is always amazing.  Just look at those appetizers for the cocktail hour.
